The Summerside Xchange is an accelerator program that supports entrepreneurs scaling their
projects to the next level. It’s a business development service provider for not only Canadian
but also international start-ups arriving to Summerside to scale their businesses to a global
level. This way Summerside can establish a win-win business model whereby both the city itself
and the participating companies may enjoy the benefits.
The Summerside Xchange will create a better, more structured, and programmatic use of the
current local resources and infrastructure (like Living Lab) and collaborative support services
offered by both the Public and Private Sectors. It will allow Summerside to attract technologies
and capital from abroad as well, which will create more jobs, new companies, and investment in
key infrastructure in the city.
