We are currently looking for people to work on an assembly line in one of our facilities located in Summerside, Prince Edward Island. You must be comfortable working days and afternoons, as this position will require you to work both periods because of the busy season. Please note this is not an option, so you must be comfortable with both shift times.

This is technical work related to the measurement of components and equipment for dimensional accuracy and structural and physical soundness.

Position: Technician
 

This position is considered to be the core business activity within the company and contains a number of different tasks. Most activities in the shop fall under the broad category of Operations Technician. A fully-trained Operations Technician is able to complete, to a certain degree, tasks related to the assembly, disassembly, inspection, balancing, airflow, and test of a gas turbine engine in accordance with the manufacturer’s specifications and company procedures.

Position: Fuel Control Technician

 

In this position, you will repair and overhaul high-quality products and services for our customers. You will disassemble, clean analyze, assemble, and inspect products to ensure the highest quality product is provided to our customers. You will be responsible for your work area to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the area. You will set up and monitor the repair and overhaul of products in your area and participate in the continuous improvement process at the site to address safety, production, and quality improvements.

Job seekers sign up by completing a profile and are then provided with tailored job postings that match their skills, qualifications, and job preferences. The system is designed to have job opportunities “chase” candidates, meaning that every time a suitable job is posted, qualified candidates are automatically notified.

Another unique feature is that every candidate’s identity is shielded until they decide to communicate with a potential employer about a job opening. Summerside’s labour matching tool allows individuals to privately self-identify as a member of any designated employment equity group they belong to.

For businesses large and small, the labour tool network provides a fast, cost-effective, and easy-to-use channel to post a job and tap into the supply of qualified talent they need. After an employer posts a job, the innovative technology provides the company with a pre-screened list of top candidates who meet the specified skills requirements and have expressed an interest in the position.
