Government of Canada Invests in Dairy Processing on Prince Edward Island

The Government of Canada is investing up to $12 million to support dairy processing on Prince Edward Island. Announced today by MP Bobby Morrissey, on behalf of Ministers Lawrence MacAulay and Gudie Hutchings, this funding will help Amalgamated Dairies Limited (ADL) modernize its operations and enhance production capacity.
With $10 million from the Supply Management Processing Investment Fund and $2 million from ACOA’s Regional Economic Growth through Innovation program, ADL will upgrade its facilities with automated cheesemaking equipment, improving efficiency and sustainability.
This investment reflects Canada’s commitment to strengthening its supply management system, supporting local processors, and ensuring high-quality dairy products for consumers.
