City of Summerside Welcomes New Operator for Waterfront Curling and Marina Complex
May 6, 2025 – SUMMERSIDE, PE – The City of Summerside is proud to announce that Pathfinder Foods, in partnership with Bogside Brewing, has been awarded the lease to operate the restaurant, bar, and banquet facilities at the Summerside Curling Club and Marina—formerly known as the Silver Fox Entertainment Complex.
Following a competitive Request for Proposal (RFP) process, the successful bid from Pathfinder Foods and Bogside Brewing brings a bold and exciting vision to life: transforming the facility into a vibrant, family-friendly destination on Summerside’s picturesque waterfront. The new venue will feature Crafters Smokehouse, Famous Peppers Pizzeria, and Bogside Brewing, all under one roof.
“This is a very exciting day for Summerside’s downtown, waterfront and our entire community,” said Mayor Dan Kutcher. “Pathfinder Foods and Bogside Brewing bring an impressive track record of culinary excellence, local partnerships, and community spirit. Their vision aligns with Council’s goal to revitalize this important space and create a year-round hub for food, entertainment, and social connection.”
The new operators aim to deliver a high-quality menu featuring smokehouse BBQ, artisan pizzas, fresh local seafood, and award-winning craft beverages. Complementing the food and drink experience will be live music, seasonal events, and a welcoming atmosphere for residents, marina visitors, curling members, and tourists alike.
With a strong reputation in the Island’s culinary and hospitality scene, the team behind Pathfinder Foods and Bogside Brewing is focused on creating meaningful experiences through local ingredients, community connections, and a passion for great food and drink.
“We are excited to partner with the City of Summerside to revitalize this iconic waterfront space,” said David McGuire of Bogside Brewing. “With our passion for great food, craft beer, and bringing people together, we’re committed to creating a vibrant destination that celebrates everything Summerside has to offer.”
Construction, fit-up, and transition work are expected to begin shortly, with a phased opening of the new venue anticipated later this year.
“The City is excited to see this new chapter for the Curling Club and Marina complex unfold,” said Councillor Ken Trenholm, Council Liaison for the Community Services Committee. “This project will further enhance Summerside’s vibrant waterfront and support year-round activity.”
