Inspired by the PEI red soil, Red Island Knits is located in the Lighthouse at Spinnakers Landing in Summerside. With a combination of hand and machine knitting, crochet, and cut’n sew methods, local artisan, Angela McDiarmid, creates heirloom-quality shawls, sweaters, socks, children’s clothing, and home decor items. Focusing on 100% natural fibres, most of our items are made of cotton, alpaca, kid silk, wool, and/or cashmere.
